I realize these scans have been all over the fashion blogs lately, but as I'm currently looking for decorating inspirations, I couldn't help but post some of the pictures of Helena Christensen's lovely New York apartment from Paris Vogue.

Since Ottawa is currently dealing with weather schizophrenia, Saturday was, once again, full of rain and humidity (which does not bode well for outfit choice nor hair! ..see photos.) We decided to make the most of it, however, and headed to Carisse Studio Cafe for coffee and lunch, followed by a bit of browsing at Zone Maison and Trustfund Boutique (all located on Sussex Dr.)
There is nothing better on a rainy day than enjoying a good cup of coffee and endless conversation with a friend :)
Yesterday's sunny skies called for iced coffee on the patio and a prance around the neighbourhood haunts. In between thrifting and fantasizing about our future houses, we attempted to document our first of many summertime excursions.
This photographer takes photos of his pregnant wife and writes messages to his soon-to-be-born baby. It's so adorable and what's really cool is that American Apparel provides the wife's wardrobe for the pictures. Visit Pacing the Panic Room. And don't forget to read his About Me section - your heart will melt.
Ottawa is by no means a fashion capital of the world, but since it is the capital of Canada, it's definitely important to look good and support the local fashion community. Victoire Boutique (located on Dalhousie St.) does both of the above with femininity, class, and, of course, style.
